Small, but powerful computers - you hold in your hand
- DOS based terminal
- Based on a 486 processor
- Powerful, compact and lightweight
- Open system architecture
- Integrated full RS232 and IrDA ports
- IP53 protection
- Available with a 37 or 24 key keypad
- Formula One wireless technology at 2.4 GHz
- IBM5250, 3270 and VT100/220 terminal
emulation
Tough exterior with hand strap (as always, whatever terminal
you opt for, we recommend the optional protective leather cases - although all
terminals survice 1.5 or 2m drop on to harsh concrete).
The full keyboard offers faster, less stressful input of text and numeric
data.
A good reliable product - we've put literally stacks in to
people's hands (running our software) without a single problem with hardware
(nor obviously our software).
- Full alphanumeric keyboard is the main reason to choose this product
over others
- Just drop them in to the cradle and the infrared port offers simple and fast
communications
The A to Z keys are not quite as fast to use as a qwerty keyboard, but a lot
faster than those Press 1 three times to get the letter C type.

As you can see, we sell lots of these
We don't send them out like this. This photo was delicately arranged and the
products put back in their individual boxes; before shipment to this client's
many branches UK wide. Were are happy to arrange things like this.
Supplied ready to use
We offer complete software development services and 30 day trials.
Because we have done so many projects using these and other portable
terminals, we can offer you the lowest cost for the software - most of what you
are likely to want is already written - we will just add the features you need.
Future proof software
Your business needs will change, so we offer to update your software as and
when you need it (for a fixed cost). Distribution of updates is simple, via
email or web download services.
Infrared - contactless communications
Another reason infrared ports are useful (apart from the speed of hooking
them up) is the fact they do not wear out; if you used a cable to download files
several times a day, eventually it would wear out the connector.
Note:
It is possible to use a cable to download files from these
devices, if you are only using them once a month or year to do a stock take,
etc. Otherwise we recommend the infrared enabled download cradle.
Infrared - portable printing
When you need a label, you need a label. Where you need it, is
probably miles away from any label printer, and to have to physically trudge
backward and forward, to get little bits of sticky paper would be time and money
wasted.
Obviously - you are thinking, an RF system could print the
label on a nearby standard printer. You are right, if all those dark, remote
corners of your premesis are already covered by your RF system, and you have
lots of nice clean areas to station printers all over the place. All in all
still, nowhere near as cheap and convenient as a printer on your hip.
